Marta L. Suarez, Shirley
Seguin, and Betty Locke have entered the 2nd annual juried
art exhibit, "Marvelous Light" sponsored by the
Johnson Ferry Baptist Church. It will be exhibiting from September
12th to October 26th in the Third Floor Atrium of the Johnson

Diane Hooker, Diane Shaftman,
Joyce Golinsky, and Suzanne Engel will be attending a workshop
in Rabun Gap, Georgia on Oct. 30- Nov. 1 with instructor Deborah
Nadelhoffer.

show and sale at Garden Hills Clubhouse on Oct. 25-26

Brushstrokes will be having
an open house sponsored by The Bank of North Georgia on April
24th from 5-7. Each artist will show two paintings inside
and outside at this festive event. The Bank of N. Georgia
is supporting the Month of Art in Sandy Springs, GA by supporting
our art group with this open house.
On April 12th, Brushstrokes will be having a paint out and
picnic lunch at Azalea Park.
April 25th, 26th, and 27th the group will be showing at Norwalk
Furniture Co. with an open house, wine, and light food.
April 28th, Suzanne and Belle will be going to a workshop
in Dawsonville, GA. The instructor is Albert Handell who is
one of America's foremost artists.
Cindi Rawlins attended the
Plein-Air Painters of the Southeast 4-day workshop on St.
Simons Island and painted with Dee Beard Dean, Garvin Brooks
and Dawn Whitelaw.
Cindi Rawlins delivered a
36x48 commissioned landscape to a Sandy Springs patron.
The last week in April Cindi
Rawlins will attend a figure & portrait workshop in Charleston
under the teaching of Roberta Remy from Taos.
Cindi Rawlins will also have
3 paintings hanging in the Glynn Art Association Juried Members
Show, May-June, on St. Simons Island.
Diane Hooker received an
honorable mention in the Dogwood Show at the Atlanta Artist
Center.
Diane Hooker received first
prize and second prize for two pastel pieces entered in a
North Cobb Art League juried show.

Belle, Suzanne, Cheryl, and
Shirley went to a workshop in Naples, FL. The instructor was
Susan Sarback from California. Her forte is the use of the
pallet knife and the way light affects the painting [Impressionism.]
Diane Hooker received an
honorable mention for a piece entered in a show being held
at The Atlanta Artist Center.

Suzanne has had a show at
the Grand Opening of the Bank of North Georgia. She will be
showing at Trinity School Sale, Galloway School, Temple Sinai
auction and sale, and a private auction and sale for Sandy
Springs Society.
