Lynn Tolleson was born and raised in Western Canada, but has spent much of her adult life in Georgia. She met her husband while at graduate school in Vancouver, British Columbia, and moved South with him to his home town of Atlanta. Lynn worked many years as a professional counselor, her interests a blend of psychology and theology.
In recent years, she has pursued a latent love of the creative arts. Beauty has always beckoned to her, and it has been a tremendous joy to be able to immerse herself in the creative process. She began classes at the Chastain Art Center under Ben Smith, and has continued to study there under Debra Nadelhoffer and Kathy Rennell Forbes. She has been mentored as well by the many fine artists she has met there, as well by workshops and other gifted individuals. Photography and pastels are her favorite media, but she hopes to begin painting in oils soon. Her work has been shown at the Atlanta Arts Center, and is also hung in private homes and organizations.
